If you use Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50cloud Accounts v26.2 or earlier, you must upgrade to a newer version of Sage or move to different accounting software before the end of September.
Sage have announced that they will be making some essential security updates to Sage 50cloud Accounts on 30 September 2022 which means anyone running version 26.2 or below will not be able to use their software beyond this date.
The discontinuation of older versions of Sage is happening as Sage are making changes in line with industry security protocols, specifically Transport Layer Security (or TLS) which is widely used in data security. The older versions of Sage still use a TLS version which is now unsustainable, and Sage say they need to ensure that their software is secure in the long term.
It is critical that you update your accounting software to a later version of Sage 50cloud or move to a different accounting system as soon as possible.
