After working in recruitment in the city for 7 years as a contracts and compliance manager, Natalie eventually went on to manage a back office team. She saw an opportunity to start a career in HR with the recruitment agency she was working in at the time and knew she had transferable skills from her existing current role. She then went on to achieve CIPD Level 3 in 2016 whilst implementing HR into her skills portfolio, and worked as an HR Manager for a variety small to medium sized businesses including digital marketing and fashion companies, and ended up at a Colchester hotel and golf club in the middle of Covid. As these positions were mostly standalone HR roles they gave Natalie invaluable experience and grew her employee relations knowledge since she was responsible for everything from a HR perspective.
Since joining Scrutton Bland in December 2021 Natalie has enjoyed expanding her Learning and Development knowledge as well managing the firm’s Wellbeing Strategy and their annual Benefits project. She is part of the CSR committee as well as a Mental Health First Aider which has in turn broadened her knowledge of Neurodiversity and Employee Wellbeing, and is also hoping to start her CIPD Level 5 qualification next year.
Outside of work Natalie enjoys spending time with friends and family, running around after her two young sons and holidaying!
