Ryan Pearce

After leaving college, Ryan started his working life training to become a Quantity Surveyor and Estimator within the construction industry. He joined Scrutton Bland in 2018 as part of the internal audit team, and has since qualified as a Senior Risk and Assurance Auditor. Ryan’s work involves taking ownership of audit work for a range of clients within the education and housing sectors, and travelling to locations from north Norfolk to London and Surrey. Ryan specialises in completing key financial controls audits and also funding audits, the latter being an independent auditing process to verify that a college is claiming the correct amount of funding from the Department of Education (DoE) and the Educations and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), which can often be millions of pounds of funding and is a high risk area for many colleges.

Outside of work Ryan interests include music, reading, and quiz nights. He also follows sports, including football, golf, basketball and F1. He plays football for a local team, and was also part of the winning Scrutton Bland football squad in the 2019 Nexia EMEA tournament in Paris, where the team beat 31 other teams from Europe, Africa and Asia.
