Simon Pinion

Simon has been working in practice since leaving school, joining Scrutton Bland as a partner in 2012. He is part of the leadership team of the firm’s Business Advisory department based out of Colchester, running a varied client portfolio, and specialises in owner managed businesses. Simon and his team work closely with their clients to help them gain a greater financial understanding of their business and their numbers and to achieve profitable growth as well as helping with working capital and resource management. Simon has a particular interest in the tech sector and works closely with Scrutton Bland’s System Advisory team helps businesses with their digital transformation journey working closely with Scrutton Bland’s System Advisory team, and Simon has good experience of delivering e-commerce solutions for his clients. Simon was instrumental in developing Scrutton Bland’s original cloud-based accounting service, recognising it was an important step to allowing businesses to have full sight of their data. Outside of business hours Simon is a keen tennis player, playing competitive tennis in the local leagues as well as being a founding member of Colchester 41 Club, part of the Round Table family. Simon is also a Trustee of Winsley’s Charity, providing Almshouse accommodation in Colchester.
